Current Events

You can track our recent ministry events, as well as pray with us for future opportunities, through the information on this page.

Photos give you an idea of the people and places where we've had ministry in recent weeks. Check back every couple weeks as we update you on Current Events.

Prayer & Praise

Our ministry is only as effective as the amount of prayer that goes into it. We invite you to pray with us for an ongoing work of God in the people and places we've already had contact with:

  • We returned to the States in June, 2009 to begin our year of fund-raising. As of Christmas, 2009, we have made 3 major itinerations through various parts of Alaska. A special "thank you" to our Alaskan churches for hosting us so warmly.
  • The end of January we will make a trip south through California, Arizona, and parts of New Mexico. Since Alaska has few A/G churches in comparison to other districts, it necessitates us finding others who are willing to contribute support to our ministry. Pray for God's people to have a fresh vision for world outreach.
  •  We would ask you to pray for each of our three children, Valerie, Jason, and Ben. Each one is facing personal challenges this year, financially, physically, and spiritually. It can be a daunting task for missionaries to maintain effectiveness when their children are facing crises.
  • Please pray for CTS during our year away in the States for itineration. Because of limited funds, CTS cannot hire professors to replace us. Consequently it creates a heavy burden upon the remaining professors to fill our place. Pray also that we will raise our funds quickly and completely in order to be able to return for the class year of 2010-11.
  • A major burden we face as we leave Belgium for our year of fund-raising is the ecumenical Indonesian fellowship that we've been a part of for the past eight years. Our wonderful director and his family have felt God leading them back to Indonesia. We need much prayer for God to raise up spiritual leadership for this vital outreach ministry in Belgium. We are also continuing to pray for European husbands of Indonesian ladies in this fellowship, that they will hear and respond positively to the Gospel.

Future Events

In addition, please pray for the requests we post here:

  • We are currently in the U.S. for our year of fund-raising in order to be allowed to return to Europe by August, 2010. We are aware of the challenges and difficult-ies of raising funds in a time of economic crisis. Please pray for God to increase the faith of supporters (and open hearts of new ones) to see how God can bless them when they follow God's heart for reaching the lost of the world.

  • Pray for all the Indonesian congregations that we've worked with this past four-year term, as we are in the States for our year of fund-raising. Pray that the Lord of the Church will encourage them that, whether we are there or not, the Holy Spirit will continue His work in their lives and congregations.
