Often people ask how they can be a part of our minsitry in Europe. The most important part you can have is to pray for us, personally, that we will be effective communicators of Jesus and His kingdom, and to pray for the people God has placed in our lives. This costs nothing but your time and is the single most effective support you can give to us. You can read about our specific prayer requests on our Current Events page.
Of course, the only way we can have an impact in Europe is to be able to live here, and that requires finances. As missionaries with the US Assemblies of God, we have a budget set for us which consists of two parts: a required cash budget, and a list of monthly commitments from pastors, churches and individuals in the States.
After every four years of missionary service overseas, we return to America to raise these two required budgets. We do this by visiting pastors and churches, family and friends, sharing with them our vision and our need. They, in turn, determine how much they can contribute on a monthly basis for our following four-year term in Europe. On-the-spot cash offerings are placed in our cash budget account.
Where does the money go? Outside of normal living expenses, the work funds go toward rent, extensive travel ministry, equipment, outreach, and, as funds are available, building projects for CTS.
These funds ensure that we can live and work in Europe without being a burden to the national church. In fact, being funded from the States is the only means by which we can secure a visa to live in Belgium.
